back to school..
[note: this post is dated 14th april coz i started it then but i only managed to complete it today coz i didn't have access to a com that could log on to blogger.. so in case my paragraphs might make no sense.. those in italics were updated today while those in normal font were written on the 14th.. =) ]

i'm back..!!

it's been ages since i last blogged..

miss the late nights chatting on msn.. blog-hopping.. looking at peoples' pictures on friendster.. uploading photos.. all in all.. i MISS my laptop.. =(

i'm at his place now which explains why i am able to blog..

school has started again.. a week has passed and it seems like year 3 is gonna be damn ass tough.. there seem to be no common tests at all.. or maybe there's one or two.. can't remember.. and projects are only worth 10-20% of the total marks..? die lar.. so much effort yet so little marks..? and there are like quizzes for almost every module.. -_-" we really have to be on our toes all the time in case the lecturer suddenly pops the quiz on us after lecture.. and it's gonna be harder to skip lectures coz since the cohort isn't as big.. it will be easier to check attendance.. =S

it's kinda sad that none of my close buddies are also taking pure tourism.. luckily i still have yixian and my classmates from last sem.. but it feels kinda weird sitting with them coz they're already in a clique.. and i find it abit hard to mix with them.. it's like we're sitting together but we aren't really talking or anything.. luckily winnie and monica are in the same class as me.. if not i wouldn't know anyone else in class.. i looked through the class list and i don't recognize any other names nor do i remember seeing them before.. i only know one other girl, judy, coz she was from my secondary school.. on the bright side.. maybe being a sort of "loner" will be a good thing coz i will be able to concentrate better in lectures and tutorials.. but it does feel weird coz this week after lectures.. i had nowhere to go or anybody to go with.. =( except for tuesday coz i went to kbox with yati, mahesh and 2 of mahesh's friends.. it was pretty fun.. then after that me and yati shopped from like 5pm to 10pm.. bought plenty of stuff.. too bad no pictures.. =S anyways.. luckily on fridays i still get to see clement, noorin, tzyy horng, hong jun and ren feng for IB lecture even though they are all from entreprenuership..

all in all.. i'd say the first week of school was not bad.. just that it seems that i'm gonna have to study alot harder now.. the modules are all fine EXCEPT for international business.. omg.. it's like ecd again.. i was like totally not interested during the lecture.. this is probably gonna be my worst module since i know close to nuts about businesses and am not inetersted in it at all.. felt so stressed during the lecture.. =( BUT.. there is still the post-common test holidays to look forward to coz we're gonna have an outbound study programme.. we will be going to either dubai (5D4N), seoul(5D4N) or hongkong/china(3D2N) for an overseas study trip.. i hope we get korea.. korea seems like damn fun..

so here's a summary of the main highlights that has happened over the past weeks..

1) i have FINALLY passed my bike practical 1..!!!!!!!!!!!

after 5 attempts.. i can finally look people in the eye when they ask me how my bike pracs are coming along and tell them proudly that i am moving on to prac 2..!! woohoo..!! just passed in on tuesday.. damn happy.. though my cornering is still not exactly zai.. i made a new friend too.. coz she and i took the same practical the week before.. and we were the only same 2 from our class this time.. can't wait til prac 2 which will be next friday.. i am one tenny weeny step closer to my goal.. =) but prac 2 is gonna be hard.. coz there's the figure 8, crank course and slopes to learn.. =S

[update since 14th april]

i have gone for prac 2 already and it was pretty fun.. scary but fun.. figure 8, crank course and slope aren't really that hard.. it's a matter of whether you have guts to go all the way.. gonna be going for my 2nd attempt tomorrow afternoon.. wish me luck.. =D


2) i am now officially 19..!!

my birthday has passed and i am now 19.. darn.. one more year and i'll be 20.. god i'm getting old.. =S didn't really celebrate on the actual day coz i had my bike prac (the 4th attempt) which i failed.. went out with dear the night before to have dinner.. sort of my birthday celebration part 1 coz he wanted to wait til he got his pay before giving my actual celebration.. so it was more like part 1.. we went to the nydc outside the heeren.. then we watched ice age 2 - the meltdown at cineleisure.. i totally LOVE that sabretooth squirrel.. his devotion to his acorn.. his stupidity.. and his cute actions and sound effects.. he is damn funny lar.. we were laughing throughout the show..

for part 2 of my birthday clebebration he brought me to crystal jade for dinner.. delicious..!! =D i want to try more of they're food next time.. =) he also got me this really cute turtle soft toy as a present.. which i am hugging to sleep everynight.. =X lalalallalalalalalalalalalala..

on the actual day.. my attachment mates ordered canadian pizza and we had a mini celebration in the office.. thanks so much to yati, mahesh, renfeng and famy.. =) mahesh even gave me a large scented candle as a birthday pressie which we later lighted up for them to sing the birthday song for me and for me to make a wish and blow out.. =D we had a cheesy turkey pizza and a seafood delight one.. then we started on a picture taking frenzy..

that saturday.. joyce, khad and jing celebrated my belated birthday with me.. we had dinner at the coffee club outside of california fitness in town.. the total for dinner cost a bomb lar.. like 90+.. thanks so much babes.. and sorry you guys spent so much for my birthday.. especially since they bought me presents and a card on top of dinner.. dinner was great.. especially dessert.. we shared a chocolate fondue.. yum yum yum.. we walked around town a lil after that then back to bishan to sit down and just catch up..

3) i finally got to buy my ps2 games..!!
my ps2 game collection is finally 8 games bigger.. and i managed to get the 2 that i've been waiting for for so long................

damn happy lar.. i was so excited about the games that i bought the respective guidebooks even before i bought the games.. =X yar yar.. i know.. so tomboy.. but what to do.. i'm an rpg fan..

at the moment i'm occupied playing sim 2.. it's quite fun too..

4) ipod nano - 4 gb - black
i got myself the ipod nano for my birthday.. damn expensive present.. but i love it to bits.. =) bought lots of accessories for it and my mum is helping me get this skin for it from australia.. can't wait to get it.. =X

5) tamagotchi version 3

normally i would have choosen the ice cream one but the ones that are sold here in singapore weren't as nice and colourful as this picture.. i guess coz they we're produced in some other country so the quality of the design was different so i went for the green one instead..

i know it's very kiddy for a 19 year old like me to be still playing with it but it's SO DAMN CUTE can.. abd there's are a whole lot more functions than the previous verison..

5) my first driving lesson

i went for my first driving lesson this monday.. got ian's instructor.. driving is fun..!! but damn scary too.. coz i have no driving experience at all in my life.. even illegally.. and the first thing my instructor made me do was drive on the main road.. with other cars around too..!! i was like omg.. oMg.. OMG..!! he guided me through the process and what do you know.. i can drive..!! or at least i can make the car move and change up/down the gears.. i think coz i have experience in changing gears for bikes so it was easier for me to catch.. i only have abit of problem keeping exactly in the middle of the lane, turning coz i'm not used to how much u have to turn the wheel for the angle of turnings and the stopping part coz i'm not sure of the breaking and clucthing in at the same time when stopping the stopline of traffic light (engine stalled like 2-3 times coz of that).. all in all i should say progress pretty good since i didn't knock into anything or wreck the car.. =X pretty proud of myself that i actually drove on the road.. going for my next lesson next monday..

6) stupid 7610 is spoilt

sadly my dear phone has got a bug in it.. can't function properly.. it shuts off on itself and can't even be turned on at times.. already sent it for repair at nokia care center once but the problem is still there.. maybe it's time to look for a new phone.. =(



yeps.. it's gonna be a long weekend coz of the public holiday on monday.. it's LABOUR DAY.. looking forward to the weekend.. time to spend time with my babe.. happy weekend and labour day everyone.. til i blog again.. bye~*
