[new additions to the family]

koochyfart & xiao mao qiu (lil furball in chinese)

they're baby's monthsary & early christmas pressie for me.. =D and they are so darn cute la..

koochyfart is a male pearl winterwhite.. xiao mao qiu is a female normal winter white..

i had initially wanted to get 2 males.. and i had my eye on koochyfart and a winterwhite sapphire.. but they ended fighting when the girl at the shop but them together into a tank to test if they would get along with each other.. =S

she told me that if i got 2 of the same sex they'd end up fighting when they got older and that i'd better get a male and female instead.. and me being the hamstie noob didn't know any better so i just went ahead with what she said.. (everyone is telling me good luck cos they'll start multiplying and multiplying even more soon.. =S)

wanted a female winterwhite sapphire instead but they didn't have any at the shop and i really wanted koochyfart.. so i had to make do with a normal winterwhite..

had them since saturday and they seem to be doing fine.. cept they aren't really used to my "scent" and they tend to get scared of me and bite my fingers when i stick my hand in front of them or i carry them.. gonna take some time for them to warm up to me..

both my babies were sleeping.. the white blob there is koochy.. and the greyish blob under the wheel is xiao mao qiu..

and my big baby was asleep on my bed as well.. =X

there's actually jelly desserts for hamsters..!!

we got them as a set with these items and the accessorized tank..

aww~ the cuties sleeping while my dad was watching lotr 3 using surround sound in the living rm.. and they slept through the noisy fight scenes..

got these items for them yesterday at j8..

food..!! the box looks so goddamn cute la.. the mix looks damn nice though.. like some tasty healthy cereal thingy.. =X

apparently.. the tank i got them in is too small to put much of anything else inside.. so dad suggested i put them in one of our empty 2 foot fishtanks instead.. will probably transfer them on thursday.. gonna get toys to put in the tank tomorrow.. =X heh..

they're the smallest species of hamsters.. and they're also the most tame and you can mix males and females in any combination and they don't fight.. they are also super hyper active and fast.. OMG..!!

i think i'm going hamster crazy.. -_-"
